Seattle Space Needle

So I got up this morning for my first little adventure here...the Space Needle. The one thing that Seattle is known for except for it's coffee.

After a leisurely drive down on I-5 South, I arrived at the Seattle Center. It was only a 25 minute drive and my NAVI-system got me there safely! I recommend parking at one of the Center parking garages...$10 for the day (which is way cheaper than some of the other lots around the Needle).

I had a nice walk through the EXPO buildings and arrived at the Needle. If you venture down there frequently, I'd buy the annual pass...in the long term, it's cheaper than the $18/per day visit.

I got on the elevator and was whisked upwards in about 25 seconds some 520 feet in the air...they said it was about 50 stories...it's tall for sure.

Out on the observation deck I had some very nice views...again, well worth the $18!

Not sure exactly what this was but it was cool looking.
